Married in 2003, the Watson's merged talents, along with families. Our business name means a lot to us. Our name, Watson's Landing, was inspired when my husband gave me a large birdhouse condo that he had made for his gift to me on our first anniversary. He had painted it teal and brought it home for me, with instructions to personalize it.
Imbellishments came in the form of a painted gingerbread roof, and some folk art work around the condo units. Across the front of the roof, I painted a scripted Watson's Landing. Although the birdhouse never made it outside for the birds, it does sit high on an archway, marking the entry to a consignment space that I rent locally for my candles.
